Myofascial Release is a relatively new therapy technique in the UK. Myofascial Release is a specialised physical and manual therapy used for the effective treatment and rehabilitation of soft tissue and fascial tension and adhesions. Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Traditional therapy techniques such as Physiotherapy, Osteopathy and Chiropractic medicine focus on the skeletal system. The Myofascial Release technique differs in that its main focus of treatment is on the bodies vast expansive fascial network. The bodies fascia is an all encompassing connective tissue that surrounds, infuses, supports and constrains every muscle and organ in the body.  Its continuity and endlessness means that the effect of its restriction can cause imbalance in the joints of the body which, in turn, causes an imbalance on posture. This compromises the body's ability to function at its optimum efficiency and strength.

Myofascial Release technique can be used to treat the following conditions:

  • Postural Dysfunction
  • Injuries (chronic & Acute)
  • Muscle imbalances
  • Post injury muscle tightness
  • Increase Range of Motion (ROM)
  • Injury rehabilitation
  • Pain Relief
  • Eliminate Subconscious “Holding or Bracing Patterns”
  • Increase Your Proprioceptive Awareness
  • Increase Functional Mobility of the Neuro/Myofascial/Osseous Systems
  • General Well-Being
  • Sleeping Pattens
  • Emotional Health
  • Circulation
  • Digestive System
